Project: Understanding Motor Neuron and Muscle Disease using Human Stem Cells

Life in the Lab

I am a medical student on the University College London MBPhD Programme. Muscle symptoms occur early and have a huge impact on quality of life for patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. My research aims to carefully examine the interaction between muscles and the nerves which allow us to move (motor neurons), looking for changes in these cell types and indeed their interaction in normal aging and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.

Life outside the Lab

I am a keen cricketer and musician (classical guitar), and enjoy making the most of life in London.
